Diploma in Funeral Service Management

In order to study for the DipFSM a candidate must either hold the Diploma in Funeral Directing (DipFD) or be a full member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

 

Candidates are assessed in the following ways:

  • Satisfactory completion of workbooks
  • A personal development record based on each module
  • Six work-based assignments
  • A project of no less than 3,000 words

All assignments and the project relate to funeral service management. All work is internally verified by moderators appointed by the National Association of Funeral Directors. The Diploma in Funeral Service Management is awarded to those students who achieve an overall pass mark of 60% or above, who will, in addition, be able to use the letters Dip FSM.
