Registered Tutors

The British Institute of Funeral Directors is responsible for the Registration, Training and Examination of Tutors who wish to prepare students for the NAFD Foundation Certificate in Funeral Service and the Diploma in Funeral Directing Examinations.

In order to become a Registered Tutor of the Institute it is necessary to complete a course of study and be successful in an examination set by a panel of BIFD examiners consisting of experienced BIFD tutors and qualified members of the teaching profession. In addition a registered tutor should attend at least one tutor weekend in any 12 months'.

 

 

The list is published each year, in town/area alphabetical order, to assist students seeking tuition for the Diploma in Funeral Directing. Each Tutor sets her/his own schedule and fees. Students should contact Tutors directly.

Anyone who assists students in their preparation for the Foundation Certificate in Funeral Service and the Diploma in Funeral Directing has to be registered with the British Institute of Funeral Directors, which is responsible for training and examining tutors.
