NFE is shortlisted for Exhibition of the Year
The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) is delighted to announce that the National Funeral Exhibition (NFE), the UK’s only national funeral trade show and one of the most important events in the international funeral calendar, is in the running for a prestigious award.
Wholly owned by the NAFD – the trade association that represents the UK funeral industry – and organised in conjunction with a professional events management company, the National Funeral Exhibition provides funeral directors with a unique opportunity to update their market knowledge while also serving as the ultimate showcase for suppliers to the sector and providing a platform for innovation.
Each year the Trade Association Forum – the organisation that promotes the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations – stages its Best Practice Awards to acknowledge excellence in key areas of business. For 2010 the National Funeral Exhibition has been shortlisted for Exhibition of the Year. This is the second time the Trade Association Forum has recognised the show – it was also a finalist in this category in the 2008 Best Practice Awards.
In 2009, when most shows were seeing reduced support in light of the economic climate, the National Funeral Exhibition witnessed a 12.5% increase in exhibitors, compared with the 2007 event, along with a 12% rise in visitor numbers.
The next NFE takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from 10-12 June 2011. Further details are available from Leisure Expo on 01926 815597 and at www.nationalfuneralexhibition.co.uk
