NAFD appoints new Standards & Quality Manager

The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Erskine as Standards & Quality Manager.

Colin, who is married with two sons, will be responsible for the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He takes over from John Boyle, who has departed for pastures new.

Prior to joining the NAFD’s National Office team Colin spent three years as a funeral director with The Co-operative Funeralcare, and before that his background was in warehousing, latterly in the pharmaceutical sector.

NAFD Chief Executive Officer Alan Slater said: “The NAFD is dedicated to maintaining quality of service and high standards within the funeral profession and Colin will play an essential role in supporting member businesses and helping ensure they comply with the Code of Practice.

“We are delighted to welcome Colin to the team and I know he is very much looking forward to meeting funeral directors during his forthcoming round of visits.”
