New ‘one stop’ insurance solution for NAFD members
Working closely with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) to develop a comprehensive range of insurance products for funeral directors, South Essex Insurance Brokers (SEIB) has now set up a ‘one stop’ proposition designed to cater for all NAFD members’ insurance needs under one roof.
South Essex Insurance Brokers has launched the new facility following a detailed review of the products currently offered to funeral directors in a bid to further strengthen its 30-year relationship with members of the NAFD. As part of the new SEIB offering, NAFD members will be able to arrange insurance for their business premises, vehicles and home all in one place from an NAFD approved broker.
NAFD members who purchase multiple products via the ‘one stop’ facility will enjoy a progressive discounts scheme, whereby the amount of the discount is linked to the number of different insurance products the funeral director chooses.
NAFD chief executive officer Alan Slater commented: “The new ‘one stop’ insurance solution that South Essex Insurance Brokers has developed specifically for our members is really innovative. All members qualify to use the facility through their professional indemnity cover organised by the Association but then have the chance to build up a bigger discount the more insurance packages they buy.”
SEIB’s range of products for funeral directors includes:
- Business premises – cover for buildings, contents, loss of revenue, business liabilities, money and goods in transit, including a special 15% discount for Perfect Choice Funeral Plan sellers
- Terrorism – cover against terrorist attack
- Engineering – statutory inspection for lifting equipment and other machinery
- Vehicles – includes loss of use, nil excess for windscreen cover, automatic foreign use
- Vehicle breakdown – includes roadside repairs, recovery, cost of a hire car and transport for up to eight passengers
- Professional Indemnity – cover is provided automatically to all NAFD members
- Home – five-star home and contents cover for funeral directors, their families and staff
